Skinny Butter Chicken or Lactose Free Butter Chicken
using SpiceWorks All-in-One Butter Chicken Mix or Butter Sauce Mix

A 'lighter' way to Butter Chicken

Skinny: Follow the directions on the package, but for a lower calorie sauce, instead of cream use a mixture of half plain yogurt and half water.
Mix them well, then use it in place of whipping cream when making the sauce.  Remember to stir constantly when simmering so the sauce won't separate.  Hint:  For a smoother texture, add just 1 or 2 Tbs cream to sauce at the end.
Lactose Free:  Simply substitute soy-based coffee creamer (e.g. "So Nice" brand); we've tested this, and it turns out great.
Serve with Basmati rice and Naan bread.

Lamb Popsicles using All-in-One Butter Chicken Mix

You’ve heard about them, now prepare these savory appetizers at home quick & easy
Use a full frenched Rack of Lamb, cut into 1 ½ inch chops

French the racks if not already done (i.e. remove & scrape the fat from the bones).
Cut the rack into 1 ½ inch chops (2-rib pieces)
Sprinkle the chops with SpiceWorks Chili Marinade (seasoning packet from the all-in-one package), and rub it in with a bit of oil.
Leave the marinated chops in the refrigerator for 2 to 4 hours.
Prepare the Butter Sauce in a saucepan as per the package directions.
In a pre-heated skillet, pour in the sauce mixture and heat till it thickens.
In a second very hot skillet sear the chops 1 ½ minutes per side (for medium rare).
Transfer the seared chops to a warmed plate.
Pour the sauce over the chops, and serve with your favorite vegetables.

Best BBQ Chicken Ever using SpiceWorks Peri Peri Marinade Mix

Peri Peri  has become our favorite marinade, especially on chicken or pork chops.

Prepare SpiceWorks Peri Peri marinade as directed, adding only oil and water.

Place a half (or whole) chicken, skin on, in a clear plastic bag.  Pour in the marinade, shake it up, and seal the bag.
If you have one of those food-saver vacuum sealers, do it that way.
Place in the fridge to marinate, preferably overnight.
Pre-heat your BBQ to high, then turn off the center burner (if you have 3).
Take the chicken out of the bag, and put it on the grill in the middle, so you can cook with indirect heat.  We prefer to put the meat on a small metal cooking sheet;  it stops the flame-ups, and the chicken comes out very tender and moist.  A rotisserie works great on a whole chicken.
Let it bake for about 3/4 to 1 hour (or longer), without turning, till it is fully cooked.  If desired, you can sear it at the end over the high heat for a nice crispy skin.

This is absolutely delicious, served with a nice salad (and a cold beer!)
